Sorry

for not posting about things more. I have nothing interesting to say and I've been extremely busy with school, work, job hunting, yoga, and of course, Evan.

I gave a very good 30 minute power point presentation last night for school and that was awesome. I'm beginning to enjoy public speaking and so far I capture my audience pretty well. There are nuances I need to figure out and work on, but still, good show all in all, especially for the amount of practice I put in, which was thirty minutes of rehearsal on the elliptical machine at my gym.

Yoga is good - I'm not consistent enough about going to Bikram though and the past couple of times I've felt very naseaus during the workout. Unfortunately I am a stubborn, stubborn woman and recently I ignored my fatigue and general ill feeling to the point where I actually vomited after class. It was not the first time I've done that while exercising, but still.

Very excited about the upcoming election, for which Evan bought me a very cool shirt to wear. Hopefully you will all see it many, many times.

Might have a good lead at Gap Inc. - we shall see, but of course I will keep you all informed. Cross your fingers.

Boy oh Boy

have I been bored lately. Bored and busy with school. I've got a half an hour Training and Development presentation due next Wednesday that I just started yesterday. eep eep!

After talking to one of my trusted co-workers (they're not all bad, just one) she told me that someone else in my position tried to give ample notice to hire and train someone and that it completely backfired on her and the boss ended up bullying her out of the company way before she intended to leave.

I guess that answers an important question. So I'm not giving him my notice yet - I'm giving myself notice. 12/31/04 will be my last day (even though I won't be here - hahaha - end of year vacations rule!).

So that's that.

If anyone knows of any great fresh wonderful companies that are hiring, please let me know.

3 month notice

I'm giving it next week. As soon as my letter is revised and more thought out. It's time.

Period.

Right now though, I'm trying to look up how to ask for severance pay and listening to Rufus Wainright's Hallelujah song from Shrek - it's so beautifully sad and moving. I love it.

I hope I'm awake enough to do yoga tomorrow at 8, but I kind of doubt it.

So I hate my job.

So much so that I've invented a little song about it:

It's true. I'm counterproductive to the office today. Get me outta here.

So Liz thinks that much like a sage smudge, getting me out of the office to buy us hot chocolate will improve my attitude and energy.

Hah. I highly doubt it. Therefore I refuse to leave because a) it's cold, b) i'm grumpy, and c) i feel like being a bugger today.

We have decided though that maybe I should just effing turn in my one month or two week notice and live off my savings until I can find another job. I could do it.

I'm almost ready to be that poor again too ... that's how much I hate my job. It gives me headaches and makes me miserable.

I'm thinking about it this weekend before I make any decisions though.
